gabion wire mesh for river

When it comes to building retaining walls, there are many styles and materials available. From sandstone to brick, you have options. However, not all walls are the same. Some eventually rupture under pressure, leaving behind an unsightly appearance.
solution? Replace old walls with this durable and easy-to-build gabion replacement. It is made of painted wooden sleepers with pebbles tightly wrapped behind mesh screens.
hammer; stand; shovel; shovel; scrap (optional); pickaxe (optional); string; hook; rolls of cloth filters; angle grinders; sledgehammers; circular saws; cordless drills
        2. These instructions apply to a 6 m long inclined wall with a maximum bay size of 475 x 1200 mm. Adjust the size and amount of material according to your needs.
Use a shovel, crowbar, or pickaxe to break up sections of the old wall. If the section to be removed is attached to an adjacent wall, use a hammer and roller to cut it off. Remove the foundation and clear of debris and large plant roots (if any). Excavate approximately 300mm behind the existing wall to lower the ground level.
Widen the excavated trench to leave double thickness sleepers and space for the stone behind the wall (together at least 1m).
Hit the nails at both ends with a hammer so that the strings on each side extend at least 1 meter beyond the wall. Pass the rope between the nails to mark the back of the upright. Adjust the height to the desired wall height.
Paint the sleepers with 2 coats of exterior paint. Let dry between coats. Mark 1200mm intervals on the sides of the trench using marking paint. Using a digger, dig a hole 400 mm deep at each marked interval measuring approximately 150 x 200 mm.
Cut 6 posts 800 mm from 2 sleepers using a circular saw. Placed in holes and filled with concrete, make sure they are perpendicular to the ground by 400mm.
Measure the distance from the middle of the 1st post to the middle of the next post (here 1200mm). Use an angle grinder to cut the mesh to match the height difference of the uprights. Attach to the back of the post with staples.
Cut 1 sleeper in half. Place 2.5 sleepers on the narrow side in front of the ground post. Attach to post.
Screw the remaining 2.5 sleepers on top of the rack as a cap. Keep it flush with the front of the pole and place the other half of the end with the ground half. Attach the wire mesh to the bottom of the hat with staples.
The walls are covered with pebbles in stages, while the geotextile is tightly wrapped and stretched before backfilling with soil. Choosing a planting site and mulch.
