The Gabion Mattress is also called the stone cage mattress, the Reno mattress, which means the thickness of the mesh made up by the machine is much smaller than the length and width of the Gabion mattress.It is used as the anti-scour structure of water embankment, bank slope and so on. It has the advantages of flexibility and adaptability to the foundation.
The difference between the gabion mattress and the gabion box is that the cushion is low in height and the structure is flat and large.The diameter of coated steel wire is finer than that of gabion, and it has two kinds of double diaphragms (steel wire diameter 2.0mm) and single diaphragms (2.2mm).It is commonly used as the double partition plate Renault pad, its advantages are the construction convenience, the protection of the slope can effectively prevent the stone collapse, increasing the anti-scour ability of the structure.

Installation Process

1. Ends,diaphragms,front and back panels are placed upright on the bottom section of wire mesh
2. Secure panels by screwing sprial binders through the mesh openings in adjacent panels
3. Stiffeners shall be placed across the corners, at 300mm from the corner. Providing a diagonal bracing,and crimped
4. Box gabion filled with graded stone by hand or with a shovel.
5. After filling,close the lid and secure with sprial binders at the diaphragms,ends,front and back.
6. When stacking tiers of the weled gabion,the lid of the lower tier may serve as base of the upper tier.Secure with sprial binders and add pre-formed stiffeners to exterior cells before filling with graded stones.
